Console 1 Mixing System

What do I need to consider when buying & selling Console 1 second-hand?

Selling your Console 1 hardware
The software you received when you registered your hardware is an integral part of the product and a new user will not be able to use their Console 1 without it. However, if you wish to keep your software (the SSL SL 4000 E-series or the Core Mixing Suite, depending on if you have a Mk I/Mk II or Mk III unit), you can sell the hardware on its own and refer the buyer to contact us to buy a replacement software license. Please note that the replacement license always includes the Core Mixing Suite (whether or not they've bought a used Mk I/Mk II or Mk III unit).

If you're selling a Mk I / MK II unit (with the SSL SL 4000 E-series software), please make sure to transfer the group license called Console 1 Mk II (deposited in November 2023) - this is the license that the buyer will need in order to use the software. There is no need to transfer the single license called Console 1, as this one is obsolete from version 2.5.71 and newer.

If you're selling a Mk III unit, the license you should transfer is the group license called Console 1 Channel Mk III.

For more information on how to transfer licenses, please check the How can I transfer my license to another user/account? article.

Buying Console 1 second-hand:
If you've bought a second-hand Console 1 Mk I, Mk II, or Mk III and need a license, you can buy a replacement license directly from us for $40. Please note that the replacement license always includes the Core Mixing Suite (whether or not you've bought a used Mk I/Mk II or Mk III unit).
