Vacation... We've been enjoying summer by taking some time off for a couple of weeks, but now we're back and looking ahead to what fall will bring. We have a lot of cool stuff in development right now, both in terms of new products and in bringing new functionality to our existing line! As a kick off for fall we're doing a special campaign for existing Metal Amp Room users, read all about it below! Special Offer For Metal Amp Room Owners!Between today and September 5th we have a special offer for owners of Metal Amp Room - get Bass Amp Room for $99! Bass Amp Room was designed to handle all your bass amp needs, from dirty rock to modern clean. It consists of a model of a classic bass amplifier, three distinctive speaker cabinets with click-and-drag mics, and a blendable DI section with tone controls and a limiter. That's it. And it's all you need to create a unique signature sound - the strength lies in the ease of use of the individual blocks and the huge range of sounds these can produce when combined. The Matrix VideoDuring last NAMM we visited the songwriting/production team The Matrix which relies heavily on Softube products in their everyday work. Scott Spock, Lauren Christy and Graham Edwards is the trio that makes up The Matrix, a team that has penned and produced a series of major hits during the last decades for artists like Avril Lavigne, Korn, Britney Spears and Jason Mraz. The Matrix has sold over 26 million records through the artists they have worked with and have recieved numerous awards and nominations for their achievements. We hooked up with Scott Spock and engineer Aaron Renner at the their studio in Los Angeles to talk about their work and how they use Softube plug-ins to create the sound they're looking for. At the time of the visit they were doing pre-production for artist BC Jean, here's a video from our visit! Happy 25th Birthday Tube-Tech!
It's been 25 years since the first Tube-Tech unit was designed, assembled and shipped. With that in mind we released the Tube-Tech PE 1C last month. Little do people know that Softube was also born 25 years ago, here's a picture showing what we were up to in the early days! ;) Of course, back then plug-ins sounded much more analog since they ran on 68k processors...
