Secret Project, win Softube effects, Robbie Bronniman interview, raving reviews etc.

December 2009

Softube has been around for more than six years now and yet, one may think, the first Softube product - Vintage Amp Room - saw the light just two and a half years ago. Why is that? Are the Softube guys slow or something?!

Well... There's something we haven't told you... We have been involved in a secret project the last four years. All we can say about it right now is that, come NAMM, a big (make that huge!) name in the industry will release a product that Softube has co-developed together with that company. Only six weeks to go now!!

Win Softube effects!

The web site IHaveSynth.com is having a competition sponsored by Softube where first prize is an Effect Bundle, the second to fifth runner up gets a Tube Delay.

The competition closes December 6th, so head over there right now! IHaveSynth competition

Tons of raving reviews!

November has been dubbed 'The Month of Great Reviews' here at the office and here's some examples of that

"Spring Reverb is by far the most authentic-sounding spring emulation I've heard so far."
"Even when you set the feedback control [in Tube Delay] right on the edge of building up into feedback, the background mush created by the recirculating delays sounds exactly right."

Paul White
Editor In Chief for Sound on Sound Magazine

"I can not imagine myself working without it, even though we have the hardware equivalent in the studio."
"It is a very versatile and creative tool that cannot be mimicked nor matched by any other plug-in as far as I know."

Niklas Silén
Raves about FET Compressor in a review for Pro Rec

We're getting a lot of love from Germany for our products and while we understand enough German to know when a review is great, giving you details would be a very strange Swedish-German-English-translation-mash-up. So check out these reviews for yourself instead!

Great review of Passive-Active Pack in Keys Magazine

Recording.de reviews FETCompressor giving it its "REDAKTIONSTIPP"
