We used nothing but Pro Tools, Metal Amp Room and a single guitar per track (ie. no over-dubs or stacking). The
guitars used are a Godin Solidac (the clips tuned in C), a 1974 Gibson
Marauder (the clips tuned in D), and a Frank Gambale Ibanez (most of
the solo stuff).
Some of the clips (or perhaps most of them) should need some
eq:ing, but we decided to put nothing on except Metal Amp Room...
Riff Fade Between Mics Lead/Black Fading between the two mics, the dynamic is close and the condenser
far away. After the fades, the Mic Balance knob is placed in the
center, and the Stereo Width knob goes from Stereo to Mono.

Soft Picking Crunch/Black Moving Mic Soft picking with the Crunch channel, Black cabinet, and the dynamic
mic is automated to slowly move (to accomplish a phasing effect).
Palm Mute Lead/Metal Palm mute riff with a almost snare drum like sound. Lead channel,
Metal cabinet, close mics.
Fast Solo Lead/Black Phase Inv Fast solo with Phase Invert on to accomplish more room sound. Lead
channel, Black cabinet.
Solo Lead/Metal Solo with both mics in the far field. Lead channel, metal cabinet.
