The TSAR-1 Reverb is not an emulation. It's not a stock design. It's not a static snapshot of a space. The TSAR-1 is a powerful, modern reverb algorithm. It's alive and vibrant, it's gentle and dreamy, and above all - it's natural and believable. The TSAR-1 is the better-sounding alternative to the established, traditional reverb products. At a fraction of the price.

TSAR-1 Reverb also includes the TSAR-1R Reverb.

The True Stereo Algorithm inside the TSAR-1 is what gives it its magic. The strength lies in its sophisticated sound and versatility, no matter whether it's used on strings and brass or rock drums and lead vocals, it always shines. All this while still having a comprehensive and easy-to-use interface that is unparallelled in other high-end reverb products.

The TSAR-1 has been designed with ease of use in mind. Instead of a myriad of controls, we gave the user interface five sliders and a couple of switched options. But you may very well find you never need to use even these simple controls. Because we included a solid bank of presets, which will cover most of your needs. The presets are clearly named for their intended use, so find a setting you like, maybe tweak a little - and you're good to go.

Extensive Preset Library
41 well designed presets, categorized into a "modern" and a "vintage" set. The modern set focuses on the classy reverb sounds of today, while the vintage set mimics the characters of old school reverbs we still love to use.

All presets are well documented with examples of intented use cases.

After installing the TSAR-1 it immediately became my go-to reverb and I used it whenever I needed some ambience. A smooth plate for a vocal, medium sized room for a snare drum, sparkly string ambience; it really sounds great on everything. The control set is fantastic and it is very easy to quickly tweak the EQ of the reverb or time the pre-delay. [...] be warned, you will inevitably find yourself purchasing the iLok asset when the demo period is up!

The TSAR-1 is my favorite choice for vocal verb. I have been using it as well on room and acoustic instruments. Love it. It is straight ahead, clean, warm and bright as you would want to get. It stays as an insert for importing session data!!!

I have three classic digital reverbs that I use every day in my mix room here in Manhattan: The 1978 Ursa Major Space Station, the 1979 Lexicon 224 and the 1980 Sony DRE-2000. With the TSAR-1 Softube have managed to create a reverb that puts a bit of that old black magic in the box. I can't imagine anything simpler or more flexible than the TSAR-1, five basic sliders that can take you from the past to the future...

TSAR-1 Reverb is my new go to reverb. The sound is just fantastic. And its operation couldn't be easier. I can dial in any ambience I could want in the time it would take me just to scroll through the libraries of some of the other reverbs. Its clarity, versatility and simplicity make it an absolute pleasure to use. If the TSAR-1 were a piece of hardware from 20 years ago people would be tripping over themselves to buy the plug-in emulation. Good-bye convolution, hello evolution.

I've never been quite satisfied with plugin reverbs in the past but this plug was something different. It really sat in the track on everything i threw at it... I used it everywhere on the Metal Sinatra record and it quickly became the 'official reverb'. I loved the Vintage EMT Plate on vocals, thick and lush! The Drum Plate and Chamber were amazing! Its quite flexible yet VERY easy and intuitive to use. I can't sing its praise loud enough. Simply great! Another killer plug by the artisans at Softube!

I easily got anything from small boxy rooms to plates to large halls and chambers. I had no problem getting exactly the right reverb for songs ranging from hard, in your face, Rock to smoother ballads and dreamy instrumentals. [...] TSAR-1 is capable of easily creating credible-sounding impossibly large spaces--the hardest job for all digital reverb systems.

TSAR-1's reverbs sit in the track well without being overly loud and taking up a lot of space and level. I found loads of uses on every song I've mixed with it so far.

Let me tell you, I am one of those guys who will print a ton of extra 'just in case' tracks of my snare and whatever needs ambiance going thru AMS verbs and EMTs at the studio so I never have to use ITB reverbs, I have never had good results with them. TSAR is finally letting me stop the madness. I love it.
